Yes, a four year extension.

Seems like with the budget available they will pick a person none of us has heard of before.

Depending on his buyout, I don't expect Ed Conroy to be unemployed for very long. I've always thought he was a really good coach who took jobs that were full of recruiting challenges. Tulane has a steep hill to climb in order to compete with the top programs in the AAC, but it wasn't long ago they were saying that about SMU.

The Tulane AD remarked last night that he wanted a salesman, not an Xs and Os guy, because he doesn't see much difference between coaches in that aspect of the game. He must not have watched LSU’s Johnny Jones do less with more, or our own LB and TJ, who could coach up a bunch of zombie kindergartners, if they had to.

With that perspective, a tiny budget, and sub-par facilities, I just don’t see Tulane having a competitive program.

Wow....... That's, that's just special right there. That really blows for the conference. Tulane is just sooooooooooo bad and is going to continue to hurt RPI in perpetuity. How'd they get in here again?

When UConn visited Tulane, both the men and women stay at the Ritz Carlton. My wife saw them both there on a recent trip. When Tulane goes to Dallas....

Remember in 2002 when the Big East kicked Temple out because they weren't competitive and didn't invest in athletics?

I believe Temple got kicked out of the Big East because of football attendance, facilities, nothing to do with their basketball, which has always been competitive.

Temple was never a basketball member of the Big East. The point is that there is precedent for a school being kicked out of a conference for failing to meet a set standard.

Turner won't let it happen. He secretly engineered their invitation to the conference over the objections of 13 other ADs.

Yeah, I thought Conroy recruited decently well there given the limitations
