This is going to be a long year for Baylor. They were totally uninspired and i thought their QB was borderline bad.

Trying to run scores up is not a Baptist thing. It is done by EVERY team in the top 25 or so. Thats just the way football status in the NCAA makes teams do.

As a Baylor alum, SMU looks much better. Hope you have an outstanding season. Your WR (16) looked really good.

In regards to "Baylor arrogance", I recall way too many years that we were horrible. No arrogance. As far as Russell looking bad, it was a combination of WR's busted routes as well as some inaccurate throws. Fact is, he has only played 2 quarters of football since last October.

In regards to our season, it will come down to health.

Again, good luck the rest of the way.

I wonder if some of them would be as arrogant if they knew real numbers being paid out in the settlements over what transpired. They are huge from a budget standpoint even if coverage exists for some of the claims. And they are still working to settle some others, and by silence from some.

Walked by the fraternity area. Cases on cases of DP and water. Very odd to see

I really enjoyed getting flipped off by half of the student section. Way to reflect the values of your institution.

I didn't think they tried to run it up. They ran the ball and didn't go hurry up. It wasn't like Texas Tech and what they did.

Trying to score a TD leading 40-13 on 4th down with 4 minutes to go?????????? They tried to score and their QB suffered a heavy hit. Not too smart in my book. Kick the field goal! Guess Young Briles had some bucks on the spread.

I remember a pass attempt, am I wrong? Thought it was bad cause it stopped the clock. Maybe I misremembered.

Again, going for the TD on 4th down was the right thing to do. It gave us the opportunity to stop them rather than them taking "gimme" points. The only thing wrong was them running a QB who already had suffered a broken neck.

The lack of thought in running a quarterback in that situation is troubling...Even if Russell made the choice himself, there is certainly a lack of thought on his part. Besides the satisfaction at the result, I came up with one word that seems to define Baylor's view regarding students:

Expendable.

Whether a star quarterback or a coed. Maybe reading too much into it, but I took a few days to digest this game, and came up with the same thought.
