...it might be a longshot but SMU was listed as a school of interest from this kid who was apparently one of the standouts in Max Emfingers' All-American Bowl in Shreveport. He had at least a half dozen tackles the report said. Schools of interest listed were Memphis, Southern Miss, Jackson St,. Arkansas, Tennessee, SMU and Bowling Green. A separate Rivals report says he is 6-0, 198 4.47(verified) and has offers from Memphis, Southern Miss and Arkansas St. Rated 5.1 by Rivals.

The paper here (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette) says that Arkansas is looking at him and he indicates that if they offer he will jump on it. Says further it is felt he is too short for an outside LB. His quote is " I am interested in Arkansas and any school that offers me". No mention of SMU here, but that is not unusual. Mentions Alabama, So. Miss, and Memphis.
