Credit to Our Coaching Staff

To go from losing 51-7 two weeks ago to winning 55-31 last Saturday is amazing! Great job coaches! Keep changing the culture at SMU. Your efforts are not going unnoticed. Even looked like East Carolna was a better team than Memphis. Pretty impressive.

Unfortunately the D has been consistently worse over the past 3 weeks then they were early on in the season....maybe getting worn down, but our backer play seems to have fallen off considerably.

Two interceptions returned for TDs (Horace Richardson), recovering a fumble (Jackson Mitchell), and a few QB pressures. I would say the Defense played well on Saturday. Game Ball to Coach Malone once again.

I'd say the LB position has pretty much been a weakness all year-better than last year though

At least this year when our DBs get beat they are often in position-see Clemons on last play before half. In past years they weren't within 2-3 yards of the receiver

We need much better LB play. I do not know if what we have needs improvement and maturity or if it needs replacement, but it needs to get better.

Agreed. They did a fantastic job making sure Memphis was just a step back and not a setback.

Can't wait to go 1-0 this week and get to six wins!

I thought that Jackson Mitchell has his best game as a starter.

Hopefully, the DC looks at the UH film and does more of the same.

Getting the TO's were huge, but outside of these plays EC was gashing us running the ball. We looked stronger against Baylor, TCU, Houston in the middle of our defense.
