ugly looking start (sloppy play) and not much of a crowd. There just aren't many of us who care anymore.

12 turnovers and counting with 3 minutes to go....sloppy. Memphis is going to destroy these guys...but, then again......

Bhop, meet Ryan Kennedy. Skills galore but no touches. Can't get open. We can't shoot. Two layups resulting in airballs. And what's up with Rack? Are we playing man-to-man or zone? Wide open threes on more than one occasion for UTEP.
Bamba has been a comparatively bright spot.
Despite an 8-0 SMU run aided by a T on the UTEP bench, we're down 9 at the half.

at least we are hitting FTs. Only 1 assist against 12 turnovers. That won't win many games

13 point UTEP lead, 43-30. Offensive sequence: us-one and done (missed poorly selected shot)...them-wide open three, missed, left alone for a rebound, putback, miss, offensive rebound, make.

I think if Iwas the coach that Rack and Killen would be the last
players off the bench.

SMU gets the ball into the low post, double team. The next logical question: who is wide open, is never answered, as the ball is thrown away, UTEP fast break, bad foul, ball goes in, free throw, 15 point UTEP lead.

I told my friend the exact same thing. I am not sure I would give either any minutes at all.

had to take a shower when i got home to wash the stench off. Man, that stunk. I didnt expect that tonight. The only thing resembling a postitive was Bamba Fall, and even then he made freshman mistakes. I guess Ike came in and briefly showed a spark, but it didnt last. Morris was decent if you grade on the freshman curve. That one is gonna be hard to overcome going to Memphis. Ugh.

Yes, Bamba was about the only bright spot. I think Dez would be better if someone could be in the right positions at the right time...which is hopeless right now.

This is getting old. Sloppy play, turnovers, no defense, game over. Only bright spot was Fall with 4 points, 5 blocks and around 5 rebounds. Question is whether he will consistently go for the power dunk when he gets the chance. He did once but 2 other times he tried a soft layup and it rolled off the back of the rim. I think he needs to play a lot as his up side is tremendous. Overall, this team just looks brain dead most of the time. Very frustrating.

Hey Bill, I feel your pain. Very frustrating - none of them seem to be on the same page. I know the talent is not good but the coaching doesn't look too hot either.

I wanted to get on to say much of the same things! Rack had his worst game ever...every time he touched it he'd brick the shot or be called for traveling/turn it over, just horrible. Killen, although he tries, is not a D-1 player, plain and simple, for a point guard he cant dribble or shoot, and can barely pass the ball without turning it over. Bamba was great, I'm VERY optimistic about his future, he blocked a lot of shots, rebounded well too. The defense and rebounding were unacceptable, period. We made the most unathletic player on either team, Topi, look like Kevin Garnett. Without looking, I'm sure he had atleast 30 points and 10 rebounds.
