Rice's New Defensive Coordinator From Bama

Rice hired 39 year old Paul Randoplh as its Defensive Coordinator-becoming the only African American Coordinator at a CUSA school. He was the DE Coach at Alabama this year as a part of their No. 1 ranked defense. Fact to keep in mind. Randolph was named one of the Top 25 recruiters in College Football by Rivals.com last year. Again, very interesting to see how the Rice program develops based on such a young staff including several very highly respected recruiters.

Anyone know if he has ties to the great State of Texas or is he an SEC guy. I would love to see a great recruiter for Rice NOT recruiting in Texas.
