Sometimes a team is hot, hits 3s and you lose. Cincy was shooting well behind the 3 point line and hit well above their season average. If you stretch your Defense too far out you are just as likely to lose by allowing easier penetration and weaken your rebounding. Quite frankly on about half of Cincy's 3s last nite, I was thinking take that shot Big-Boy. They won-Congrats

The cinci folks sitting around me couldn't believe that they were shooting threes so well. They were in shock, happily, that they were dropping all night. They were pretty sure that it would never happen again.

I finally got to watch the game because of work conflicts.

What a fantastic college basketball game. Two good teams who are going to the tourney.

I came away really impressed with SMU. They got Cincy's best, a rabid crowd, and still took the shot and fought back time and time again to make it a game at the end. Even quality teams usually lose that game away by 15 or 20. SMU is the best team in the conference, and barring injuries or suspensions it would be a disappointment not to win the regular season and/or tourney championship.
