We don't have the talent and it appears we don't have the smarts (coaching?) to stop an option offense. Guys out of position, not protecting gaps, over running plays. Painful to watch and our offense is making Navy look like a great defensive team. I feared this game could get ugly but never imagined we might witness another 75-31, which right now cannot be ruled out. Let's see what the 2nd half brings

this has very little to do with Hicks-give him some time and he will deliver. He didn't throw that Int and he didn't drop the perfect ball to the TE and he's isn't part of the porous Offensive Line today. There are about 21 players on the field playing worse. If all you can see is the QB for SMU then you don't know jack about what's going on

Hicks is getting no time. I think you put in Gillins and see if you can slow down the pass rush a little. I have no problem with Hicks when he has time but our OL is not performing.

I agree, not Hicks' fault, but lets try something else.

I am so freaking tired of losing to freaking Navy! Our run defense sucks and has for years. Can we please get a defensive coordinator who can recruit athletes that know how to stop the run, and who can create a game plan to defend against the option for Christ's sake?

Only on track to win 7 if the remaining schedule doesn't decide to run up the middle every play. Cuz we can't stop that.

It makes absolutely no sense. Have you watched the guy play QB. Why not concentrate on the 20 or so other players screwing up including the damn holder that can't even flip the laces

Clearly no one remembers that Gillins can't throw the ball otherwise they wouldn't want him to replace Hicks who can throw the ball if the OL gives him time.
