OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesWichita State not looking very good on their home court. Lots of bonehead turnovers. Will be tough for them to come back now
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesTrae Young can flat ball.
29 and a double/double on the road in the win over Wichita State. Not the greatest shooting percentage but a serious prime-time player. Whoa. Also: this is the first time i took a hard look at a Shocker stat sheet. I know McDuffie is still out. I know Shamet is only a soph. But 6 of their 8 guys who got real minutes last night are seniors. Now I understand the push to join the conference THIS YEAR. Next year they will look alot lke we do this year: untested noobs sprinkled around a couple of solid vets. Party at The Wopper!
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesBig game Monday against Boise State...surprised to see them so high in RPI right now. They would be # 3 in AAC based on ESPN's RPI numbers. Overall rankings:

Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesCincinnati beats Arkansas Pine Bluff 77-49 to drop our common opponent to 0-13 on the year
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesWichita State still smarting from OU loss? Down 50-44 to Arkansas State at halftime
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
That is the norm for UAPB. They play all away body bag games non conference to supplement their athletic coffers. Then they occasionally will win their conference and make the NCAA tournament. That was why our loss to them in the Doh years was the most embarrassing I have ever witnessed. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games7-5 Belmont leading 7-4 WKU 33-26 at halftime. UCF beat Stetson 74-55. Tulsa just tipping off against Okie State
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
It ranks up there pretty high but how about SMU losing to Rollins College (FL) at Moody in what I think might have been Dave Bliss' 1st year? Of course, only the 1500 witnessed both those games
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesPersonally knowing that UAPB is the Washington Generals of college basketball makes that loss worse for me.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
good point because I think Rollins College was a competitive NAIA program
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesWichita State taking command now up 79-72 with just under 6 minutes to play
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesTulsa tied 28 all at Okie State at the half
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC gamesWestern KY losing to Belmont by 3 with 11 seconds left. Yuk.
