Strength/conditioning story

Post by Ikus »

Very interesting read. (And what a picture - think Faucette's got any eligibility left?)
I had no idea about the different drills and lifts the guys do.
Good job

Don Stansbury is pushing 400 pounds on the bench press? He was really thin in high school (although the way his brothers grew in college, I guess it's not a great surprise.) Still, he hasn't been in college that long - they're doing a great job with him.

Very interesting story. Far more than the newspapers ever give us.

Maybe that competitive fire Coach Faucette talked about will make the guys bulk up enough to overcome the "slimming" look of the dark uniforms?

I thought his comments were very interesting — I didn't realize that we held leads in the fourth quarter seven times last year. Presumably the added size and strength will allow the Ponies to really put the squeeze on teams and finish them off late in games.

WHERE is this story found?
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Look at the Table of Contents on the left of the screen. Clink on the link that says:
