Mustangs Set For Conference Summer Kickoff And Media Days

DALLAS (SMU) -- Head Coach Sonny Dykes will be joined by three SMU student-athletes at the 2018 American Athletic Conference's annual Summer Kickoff and Media Days, July 23-24, in Newport, R.I. Quarterback Ben Hicks, defensive back Jordan Wyatt and running back Xavier Jones will represent SMU.

Jones has been named to the Maxwell and Doak Walker Award preseason watch lists, while Wyatt has been nominated for the AFCA Good Works Team. All three players earned preseason All-AAC honors from Athlon Sports.

Dykes and players will participate in a series of interviews and photo shoots throughout the two-day event. Coverage begins Monday at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT with the American Digital Network Live as Dykes joins Andy Katz and Hali Oughton. Coverage continues Tuesday beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT.
