Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.I have already had people tell me they are worried about Temple. One guy told me, our goose is cooked. Are you worried about the attendance, the weather, injuries, uniforms, or all 6 remaining games? This is the place to lay down on the couch, and let it fly!
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread. Not worried at all...
Last week was a serious shot to the face. Coach and players will be ready. Butts in seats, eh, is what it is at this point, but coach and players will be ready! Pony Up!

Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Anyone not very concerned about Temple better have their head examined! Temple is a lot better than Tulsa who we were lucky to survive with our scalps!
C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Ditto. We have to play four quarters like our last quarter.
Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Yeah, you have to be insane not to be worried about Temple. Also, Tulsa is getting their butts handed by navy. I get we didnt play well but the red lights should be flashing our biggest win so far is TCU who is looking bottom Big12. Arkie and NTCC have been pummelled. USF is a cellar dweller of the AAC. Temple will be a litmus test for the season: are we real or just lucky with the schedule?

Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Happy to be where we be.... But who we be is yet to be determined.
Poetry u know. Glad to be 6-0 and looking forward to beating a really good Temple team. With 4 quarters of Toughass SMU football we can win. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Yeah, I just watched the 1st half of the Navy against Tulsa game. The same Tulsa defensive line, that absolutely mauled our offensive line, is getting totally punked by Navy. Is it too early to worry about the Navy game? Lol
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.
Temple first then Memphis the houston before Navy. Insert "this is fine" GIF
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.I'm sticking with my preseason prediction that the winner of the West will go 6-2 in conference.
There are a lot of good teams. Every game is going to be a fight. Enjoy the ride. We need 4 wins from Temple, @Navy, @Houston, @Memphis, ECU, and Temple. That is a really tough schedule. Pray for good weather for each of the games, because we have the best offense in the conference and our defense hasn't put together a full game. First step will be Temple. All of these games are going to come down to the wire unless we force turnovers.
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread. This is what it’s all about. Fun stuff.
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Going to have to start fast. Their defense is super stingy and we don't want to play catch up. Our offense will win (start fast, establish a running game early, long drives) or lose this game (start sluggish, lots of 3 and outs putting our defense in a bad spot).
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Everyone has a great game and a terrible game. We played our best football against what looks to be an ok USF team that beat BYU that beat USC. We almost lost to an ok Tulsa team. We just focus on one game at a time and play our hearts out.
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread.Bump. If you've been trying to ween yourself off of Xanax, Valium, Klonopin etc... this ain't the week!
Re: Anxiety, stress, panic and worry thread. Was it JTStang who started the "no expectations" approach to being a fan of SMU Football in oreder to curb his anxiety? That's probably the best approach to this Saturday's game vs Memphis. It's a bonus to be playing on the national stage and to be coming in undefeated and the talk of G5 college football, but I'm not expecting a win on the road against one of the better teams in the AAC. I hope our guys come to play and show well, but I will try hard not to be bitterly disappointed by a loss.
P.S. If we do lose, please don't let it be 63-0
