Spring practice / spring game cancelled

SMU put out a statement Thursday saying that spring workouts and the spring game have been cancelled.

Everything else has been cancelled. I get the caution.
Sad to see this but let's get past it and grow again.

Funny thought.... Nothing to do or watch.... I predict a bunch of babies in 9 to 10 months.

I commented about this in The Sonny Dykes post practice video thread. I figured it was coming. You can’t have 200 people gathered together every day for practice right now. Assuming this lasts for at least a few months, does every school cancel spring ball? Let’s hope it doesn’t last into the fall and cancels the whole season. Though one case of a player having it and they will (like the NBA).

Home isolation and no sports sucks.

Surprised that they would cancel and not just postpone.

Hopefully they get to use the practices later in the year. NCAA should make a temp rule change

Just spitballing - but it may not peak until late May. In which case there would be no time for a rescheduled spring ball even if it is miraculously gone before fall practice time. I think at best case schools just get fall practice.

Just use a June Jones practice approach and all is fine.

Pro Day cancelled, too?
That's a major blow to all seniors other than Proché and Clemons who were hoping to catch the eye of scouts ... and several NFL teams have told their coaches and scouts to stay home. This is huge for someone like Delontae Scott or Pat Nelson.
