Well damn. That means my party of ponyfans will be cut in half. My wife and stepdaughter will be up the road in Baton Rouge at the LSU game...leaving my 3 year old and me at the Superdome.

I had them convinced to do both games, which would've been nice. The stepdaughter (LSU sophomore) was responsible for getting our group into some heated shouting matches with UGA fans in Atlanta last year. Guess the 3 year old will have to fill her shoes.

Hmmmmm....

Friday afternoon: Fly in
Friday night: Dinner at Emeril's NOLA
Saturday breakfast: Cafe Du monde
Saturday Lunch: ????
Saturday afternoon: Bourbon Street
Saturday night: Game
Saturday late night: Bourbon Street
Sunday morning: Cafe Du monde, then to the airport

Darnit, how am I going to fit gambling in?

If it reopens by September 30 (hopefully so), I'd recommend Emeri's other NOLA establishment, the Delmonico, over his namesake place. Great steak place.

I have been to Nola and to Emeril's, but not Delmonico. I have a soft spot for Nola's because I lucked into a table the month it opened and nobody knew who Emeril was.

Nola seems easy to get reservations at the monent; emeril's is a beast. I suspect that is because Nola has been open the longest post-Katrina. I can't imagine what Delmonico will be like to get a reservation when/if it reopens, or how much harder it will be to get reservations at Commander's Palace when it reopens; I assume it will be almost impossible.
