Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12Great stuff PP. Love hearing the radio call and Sonny’s interview with Rich.
2-0 is all that matters.
Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12Please check on the longest runs list. Seems I recall a run of about 98 or 99 yards several years ago by I believe Kincade which did not result in a TD. From the one yard line to the opposite one or two.

Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12
I remember that run. Kincaide just ran out of gas and was tackled on the one yard line. Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12The list comes from the athletic department. I remember a really long run by Kincade, too - I'll check. Maybe this was supposed to say "longest touchdown runs"

Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12I image that is the case. I remember that as I do the 98 yard punt by O’Neil for the Jets from the 1 to the 1. Longest possible without a touchback. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12As it turns out... we're wrong. KK's longest run as a Mustang was 43 yards in 2002 (and just to be confusing, he had a 42-yarder in 2003). The two longest runs that did not end up in the end zone were in the 1950s ... each between 80 and 90 yards.
Which begs the question: who are we're all thinking of? I clearly remember thre Briggs run, and he played at the same time as Kincade, but they were such different runners - hard to mix them up. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12I heard it on the radio so did not see. Possibly Briggs. I do know it did not go for a TD.
I want to say it was against UTEP but could be wrong. Or it could be his Tulsa run but mistakenly shown as a TD Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12OK, that's weird, because I thought I remembered UTEP. Cody Cardwell had a really long play against them, I think - maybe that's what we're remembering?
Or are we all getting forgetful? PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12My brain is very old and I often forget what I did 15 minutes ago, but I still remember walking to school in the snow in 2nd grade, and I clearly remember a long run, by someone in the SMU backfield from inside our own 5 and being tackled or run out of bounds inside their 5. May not have been 99 but was close to that.
Kincaid was known for carrying the ball so many times a game I may have mistakenly thought it was him but I know someone ran for over 95 yards and did not score. And I still think it was against UTEP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand

Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12I was at that game. I would swear it was Kincaide.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12I watched his 20 minute YouTube and the play was not on it. I would think he would have included it if true. But it was fun watching his highlights. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Numbers and notes: SMU 35, UNT 12I remember Keylon running out of gas and going out/down at the 2 against UTEP but I think it might have been only a 30-40 yard run where he ran east/west to avoid UTEP defenders before breaking for the north end zone and went down on the home side of the field. I think it might have been the 2003 game where he had 31 carries for 127 that day and he was just gassed
