Navy lost big @ Memphis when Memphis had 18 1st downs vs Navy's 17; Navy ran 69 plays vs Memphis' 67 and Memphis held Navy to 3.7 yards per carry
Navy won big at home vs Tulsa and had 24 1st downs vs Tulsa's 15; Navy averaged 6.6 yards per carry and ran 77 plays vs Tulsa's 51
We know Navy wants to run the ball and control clock making a lot of 1st downs and put together long scoring drives. We know our team is capable of scoring quickly. I expect Navy to have more time of possession, more 1st downs and they will probably run more plays than our guys. I think the key will be to shut them down in the red zone and I'd like to think we just have more athletes than Navy this year so I'm going with SMU 31 Navy 22 expecting Navy to kick FGs early and miss a 2 point conversion late in this game.
