The difference is that Houston did find a way to beat a good UTSA team. That is the best win for either team, and is probably why I would predict Houston to squeak by SMU. I have to dig into the matchup later in the week, though.

I think the teams we lost to which have like a combined 5 losses are far superior to their losses. Yes they have a good win but who is to say we couldn't beat UTSA either and Houston barely squeaked by that game. UTSA barely beat UNT at home.

Yes. Good article about how the week off gave him time to heal up from the dings of the past few weeks. He is good to go.

A week off can do so much good for mind and body... I expect him to light it up... weather conditions look ideal

NCAA RANKINGS
22 Clayton Tune Houston Sr. QB 8 285 193 4 21 2208
27 Tanner Mordecai SMU Sr. QB 7 263 160 7 16 2121

SMU'S front 7 has improved and is now pretty good. Our pass defense has improved slightly......well, you've seen for yourselves. QB's that can run, have always been a thorn for us, Tune is no exception. We have to be very careful, can't let Tune out of the pocket. They still have that receiver Dell #1.... that mercilessly toasted our db's last year. As you can see, Tune and Tanner are pretty close in passing stats. Coogs d-line is dangerous. These teams are very evenly matched, with Vegas giving the Ponies a 1 point edge for homefield. This is a big game, lose this one, and we will probably be chewing our fingernails for bowl eligibility. Unless Houston just coogs it and turns the ball over like crazy, it's probably going to come down to the least mistakes. This is also our last chance, at beating one of the 3 teams leaving for the B12. Big Al's Homer pick: SMU 38- UH-34.

BTW: this would be a great time, for Camar to have a breakout game.

Not sure anyone came anywhere near predicting that score.
