about Doh's Salar, don't know if it is true but:

"On the other hand, this is a program which averaged less than 550 per game last year and has no discernible identity in basketball. Just last month, according to the Palm Beach paper, the athletic department had a budget crisis. The original salary was supposed to be $125,000 to $140,000, but that was low for Doherty. So unless we misunderstand the Post, the ever energetic Doherty himself raised enough money to get his salary up there: "Matt has contacts with some people that want him to succeed here," athletic director Craig Angelos told the Post. "He talked to them and was able to get some commitments.""

Actually, FAU is paying Doherty a nice chunk of change for the Atlantic Sun Conference.

"Doherty signed a seven-year deal with an annual base salary of $171,000"

"Doherty will pay FAU $200,000 if he leaves after one season, $100,000 after two, and progressively less each following year."

$171K per year plus the prestige of having the FAU job? How can we possibly lure him away? I smell a long overdue renovation of Moody coming now.

For the record, Jordan first son Jeff is an above average player, who probably shouldn't play at a top program but will for good and obvious reasons. It is the 2nd son that is the stud, he is a true frosh and is nasty. Maybe with some sort of miracle we will be a top program in 3 years and grab him. I also won the 295 mil. powerball today so who knows.

BTW one of the players on Doherty's Florida Atlantic team is Paul Graham III who is stated to be the son of Paul Graham-is that the same Paul Graham that was an assistant at SMU under Bliss and a former head coach at Kimball before Tubbs.
