I'm expecting that Rex Walters will not be coming and will be promoted at FAU - was his name mentioned - or conspicuously omitted - in connection with assistants?

The majority of questions get answered in "coach speak", but the questions still get asked.

Yes, Fall was there, and he was smiling and laughing with Coach Doherty after the press conference. I didn't get close enough to hear what was being said.

I noticed no other notably absent players. Don't know for sure about Morris, but given Doherty said he met with the players in the lockerroom before the press conference, I took it that the fact that Morris wasn't there was significant.
Rex Walters and Balado were both mentioned by Doherty. He specifically said, as others have noted, that if he doesn't get the FAU job, he'll be here too, along with Balado.

Morris was apparently homesick at times during his freshman year and had discussed transferring in some circles before Tubbs was even fired. It would not suprise me to see him gone. Bad for SMU but I wish Brian the best of luck in whatever decision he ends up making. Really a good guy.

morris will be a loss if he is leaving. i think bamba fall the senegal wall would've been a greater loss to our program. i like that name -- bamba fall the senegal wall.

Just goes to show that Trombone players are easily self amused.

Was told that Morris has already withdrawn from school and is already back in Oregon. That is to bad because I think that if he had gotten in better shape and was healthy he would have been a nice player for us. Best of luck Brian in the furture.

That is too bad. He could have been a player his junior/senior years. Let's see - that makes 3 scholarships available for next year?
