Nice to win easily and still be able to talk about how many mistakes we made

I await Jason BΓÇÖs review. Great win, but we did get a little sloppy with turnovers and penalties. Also, interested in reading Geezerdonks review. Oh wait, we won so we wonΓÇÖt be hearing from him this week !

It didnΓÇÖt look like a knee hyperextension or anything that would result in a ligament tear. It looks like the kind of thing that results in a deep bruise.

Re: Stanford Game Thread
That was a cluster fudge and there isn't anything one can do to cover up the stench. We played good for about 13 minutes and then played worst than our opponent.
Winners put teams away and let the 2nd, 3rd and 4th string play. This was just bad after 21 points. Turnovers, penalties and missed blocks galore. D was acceptable against an almost adequate high school offense.
And we can't lay all this on the players. Why did the coaches decided every play had to be a pass when they couldn't stop our run game?
I will take a win but this was embarrassing to watch.
Stanford and FSU are in a low level category of their own. Duke isn't that great but this SMU team will be hard press to win playing like they did today. This wasn't the team that beat Louisville 2 weeks ago.

Completely disagree. They won by 30 on the road out gaining Stanford 501-206. They will be ready for Duke next week!

Exactly. Stanford is really limited - Duke is at least as good as we are.

Hmmm.. not sure about that. Our A game beats Duke's A game. But tonight was our B- to C+ game, and that will not work if Duke brings it's A game (which it usually does under Manny Diaz).
Re: Stanford Game Thread
We blew open a large lead and then put it in neutral - happy to see Lashlee's response to that.
My goodness, what a difference a year makes. A year ago we would have been scared to step on the field with programs like this, now we're rolling over them like they were the G5 programs.
Heady times. Time to enjoy the ride.

Spot-on, leopold. The growth of this program under Lashlee has been amazing to watch.
