Saturday weather

Postby Thumper » Thu Oct 31, 2024 9:47 am

There are a lot of forecasts, but I just found this:

"Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%."

Rain is no excuse. The players have talked about crowd noise this year, and we need to be there, start to finish. A little rain never hurt anyone.

Umbrellas aren't allowed, right?

Drink enough and you won't notice the rain!

Just hoping we don't get caught in one of those lightning delays, that can really thin out the crowd.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

I remember several monsoon games at Navy. Those plastic airline bottles of bourbon are great for chasing away the chill and aren't detected by metal detectors. Just have a cup handy so you're not chugging it in front of everyone.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Will never forget the game @ Navy when the Nor'easter blew in and Navy thumped us without throwing a single pass. We sat thru 3 quarters of that rout with white water coming down the stands from behind us! Caught the end of that ugliness at the hotel where the SMU contingent was staying. Will always be a memorable road trip with 3 of my SMU buddies.

Here's the latest on the weekend forecast from Ryan Hall - lots of rain throughout day, starting in the morning - see about 1:35 into the vid.

I was at that game in Annapolis and the monsoon. Wife and I sat there until the bitter end.

Wow. That is above and beyond. Don't recall it being close at the end.

Forecast in itself is going to drive a lot off. Hopefully the crowd is there when the team needs some energy.

Updated forecast- not bad.
