Kyla Deck, a 5-9 junior last year at North Texas, has signed with SMU. In 30.7 minutes per game, she was the Mean Green's third-leading scorer at 10.3 points per game. Her 58 assists also were the team's third-highest total.
Tyi Skinner, a 5-5 guard from Washington, D.C., also has signed with SMU. Listed as a graduate student last year at Arizona State (she missed the 2023-24 season with a knee injury) after playing her first two college seasons at Delaware, Skinner scored 20 or more points 15 times with the Sun Devils. She averaged 35.1 minutes per game in 32 appearances (31 starts) last season, and was ASU's second-leading scorer with an average of 16.8 points per game. She led the team with 89 assist and finished second with 39 steals.
