Played many a pick up game (with scholarship SMU athletes) in the old Women's gym, Moody & Dedman during my years in Dallas. Never even considered the possibility of any of our players getting hurt in those games but I understand the concern.

I took a few elbows to the face in the women's gym from football players. Lots of them played in frat games as well.

Yeah I played many pickup games at Dedman with/against football players, but none of their names ever shared a sentence with the word "Heisman".

One of the great lessons I learned at SMU came at Dedman gym...Never take a charge in a pick-up game from Tweetie Hunt...
