Need to win all those non-conference home games in Moody because the non-conference road schedule is going to be really challenging...but will present an opportunity for some quality wins
Re: SMU to face Texas A&M Dec. 7 in Arlington
The non-conference home games are, frankly, garbage. They better be wins or this team isn't nearly as promising as we think. The NET rating will be harmed a great deal just by getting on the court with so many sub-200 teams.Charleston Pony wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 6:57 am Need to win all those non-conference home games in Moody because the non-conference road schedule is going to be really challenging...but will present an opportunity for some quality wins

True. I think Radford and Arkansas State are the only non-conference opponents visiting Moody that even had winning records last year. Definitely a cupcake home schedule. Could be that we can't get teams to come to Moody anymore?Dukie wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 4:31 pmThe non-conference home games are, frankly, garbage. Re: SMU to face Texas A&M Dec. 7 in Arlington
The Duke board is discussing every other ACC team's nonconference schedule and at least one poster looked back at several USC years and thinks Enfield might just like to schedule in a fairly soft way. There are actually some decent games, but most are away/neutral; the trick is finding teams that are around 75-150 NET and not 200-300.Charleston Pony wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 3:35 pmTrue.
