If USF can win in Gainesville they will be declared the surprise team of the year after their 1st 2 games this year that includes a blowout opener against Boise State!

Another rough day for the ACC in games vs P4 teams as we go 0-5 including 0-2 in head to head matchups against the Big XII. In addition to our guys blowing a 14 point lead in the final 6 minutes, BYU beat Stanford in another ACC vs Big XII game. Vanderbilt beat Virginia Tech with a huge 2nd half comeback, Illinois wins at Duke and Michigan State needs OT to beat BC. Big XII goes 3-3 against P4 teams with Iowa State beating rival Iowa, Kansas losing to rival Missouri, Arizona State getting upset by Mississippi State and Okie State getting embarrassed at Oregon after coach Gundy whines about NIL disparities leading up to that game. No major upsets in other games where ACC and Big XII teams played G6 or FCS teams

First two full weeks in the books and the ACC has not fared well against P4 teams having gone 2-8 so far, including 1-2 against Big XII teams in the battle for bragging rights as to who is the 3rd best conference. Big XII has gone 4-6 although they are 0-3 vs the SEC while FSU at least earned the ACC a win against Bama. If I include games against Notre Dame, the ACC is 3-8. I understand these results can be misleading as I haven't looked closely to see what wins might have been considered upsets or wins against ranked teams (Baylor gets credit for one of those)

Games to watch this week are Minnesota @ Cal and in the backyard brawl Pitt travels to West Virginia
