Who has an invitation to the big shindig hosted by Mr. Ford next week?????Major league fundraiser for the basketball program. I think it is safe to say construction on a state of the art facility is just around the corner......
Methinks we have gotten serious about basketball........

Friar,
I thought the $12M was already in the bank.
Is this to get us to the $12M, or is it for a more elaborate remodel of Moody that will cost more?

I'd like to give the man a medal if he was in any way responsible, directly or indirectly, for us now having Matt Doherty as our head coach.

Even if he was responsible only by virture of the fact that he enticed the prior coach into committing burgers and Cheer violations and thus got him fired? If you think that is appropriate behavior then I hope you get banned too.

There were also the small matters of a slush fund golf tourney and the complete abandonment of class attendance by Tubbs' players, but they're not as fun to beat a drum about as burgers and cheer.
Other than your vendetta against Max Williams, explain to us again how it is that you're helping your school, jt? Never have I seen you seem to get excited -- or even slightly pleased -- by the good things that happen to this school.
Yes, good things are happening for SMU basketball right now. Sorry to have to break that news to you.

I haven't heard about the slush fund. What is that about?

Did I miss something? There was a revelation on this board, to use Stallion's words, of a "slush fund" resulting from Tubbs' soliciation of Max Williams support for a golf tourney for recruits' parents. If that was wrong, I've missed it.
The grades issue, I believe, is well established.
Look, I'd love to be wrong on both accounts. I am a big fan of Jimmy Tubbs and wish him the best. If it truly was simply burgers and cheer I'm on board with you, jt. This is an outrage.

Will someone please call Dale Hansen so we can get to the bottom of this and get it over?

Oh my god - keep that guy off campus. If WFAA wants to cover a game, swell, but do we really want that guy on campus again? I sure don't.
