My dream OOC matchups

Everyone can dream about what the Out of Conference schedule should look like, right?

Here's my dream matchups:

1. Baylor
2. Vanderbilt 2 years/North Texas 2 years
3. TCU
4. Insert major team here (Texas Tech this year, Notre Dame would work) on home-and-home series

I like playing Navy because its so close to my home. I would like to see a game with ND. Army would be pretty fun. We haven't played a Big Ten team in awhile. Illinois might be a good draw and it might be a competitive game. Indiana less of a draw, but it would definitely be a competitive game.

I agree, the Big Ten teams could fit in the Major Game slot and Army/Navy could rotate on that North Texas/Vanderbilt rotation.

For now, UL Thibodaux, North Dakota State, Harvard/Yale and Buffalo.

After we have had a few winning seasons and gone to a bowl or two,
1. UF/FSU/Miami
2. USC/UCLA
3. Any TX big 2 team
4. ND, Ohio State or Michigan

Win now, build a solid program. When that is accomplished, play the big boys in high density recruiting areas.

Yes, I was just trying to poke a little fun at the UL system in La. Nicholls State is a four year school. It is in the Southland Conference and yes it has football. The Southland has two schools that go by NSU. Nicholls State and Northwestern State in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

What began as a small gathering of college administrators over 43 years ago, the Southland Conference has transformed itself into a dynamic and respected consortium of 12 member universities in three states. Beginning with a historic meeting of five institutions in Dallas on March 15, 1963, that included current members Lamar University (then Lamar State College of Technology) and the University of Texas at Arlington (then Arlington State College), the Southland Conference set on an extraordinary course that has proven successful well into its fifth decade of existence.

On July 1, 2006, the Southland Conference commemorated another milestone as the league membership reached 12, marking the largest configuration ever for the organization.
