DOMINATED, DOMINATED by North Texas

Postby RGV Pony » Sat Sep 09, 2006 8:34 pm

...anyone disagree? Outprepared, outplayed, outcoached, outdisciplined, outconditioned.

Unacceptable. I'll ask again...anyone disagree?

Great job UNT...you OWNED SMU.

Orsini, your move. Progress or regression? Where was everyone a year ago tonight? I'll tell you where I was...watching SMU beat TCU.

We are now 0-2, folks. And Sam Houston State and Arkansas State scare me to death.

So true, so true

Does anybody enjoy having to badmouth the team? Not really, but bad is bad. The UNT loss will haunt us forever. The FB September curse is alive but not very well for us.

Wish I had gone to see SMU beat Brown 5-1 in soccer instead of making the trip to that pit, Fout's field. This was a very disturbing loss. Mental errors, penalties, droped oasses, fumbles, missed extra point. A team not ready to play.

My thoughts exactly. Can't believe I dragged my family all the way up there to park two miles away and see that pitiful performance.

I have never been a PB supporter but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He needs to go now, however. This is a coaching melt down, we had superior talent at just about every position but....hmm, where to start.....

unimaginative and conservative play calling, costly penalties including some dead ball ones, blocked punt for TD, missed extra point, costly turnovers, unable to stop UNT when it mattered even though they only ran about the same 2 plays over and over, the QB and runningback shuffle again not allowing any rhythm to develop, Dropped TD pass.....

I haven't missed a SMU home game in years and am considering skipping next week, and from talking to others tonight, I think I am not alone.

Time to shake things up....Fire Phil now, let Rusty take over the rest of the season and totally clean house at the end of the year. Maybe he can light some fire under some butts, at least he can open up the offense and maybe salvage a few wins.

On a positive note, I was out at Lubbock last week and dealt with those A-Hole Tech fans, the UNT fans were very boisterous but treated us well both before and after the game. Hats off to their sportsmanship.

/cheers

The season - up in flames.
Unbelievable. Gutless performance, really.

I will note that the worst "fan" there was an smu "fan", who proceeded to tell us to "*eff* tradition" and play more "[racial slur] music". Pride and spirit is yelling at fellow fans, telling them how bad they are, don't you know? Anybody else know who I am talking about?

i don't know if i would say UNT "dominated" - the first half was especially awful for both teams...

someone in the stands asked at one point if it was televised and i just laughed...

The sad thing on all 5 of those things...it wasn't even close! Especially outdisciplined.
