Why the hell would you think we would need someone who specializes in marketing or compliance? Can't we run this just like our football team? Apparently we don't need a special teams coach, we just divide those duties up amongst the other coaches. I'll put in my suggestion that we have the Engineering school cover marketing, and the Theology school cover compliance.

However, if you're a HS senior and you're considering a few teams that are fairly similar in exposure, wins and losses, academic requirements, etc., wouldn't you be inclined not to sign with a school whose fans rip their team all day? I know, there are no recruits who sign with a school solely because of what is or isn't written on boards like this. But this incessant mockery of our own team is pathetic.

Kids being recruited by this school have no idea this board exists or care what all the old farts have to say anyway. From the football side, they are looking at their chances of going to a bowl game and the possibility of making it to the NFL. There is obviously other variables when it comes to the academic side.
