The Sam Houston State band is not making the trip.
Last minute change. According to the SMU band director on Sat night, Sam Houston is bringing their band. It was a last minute decision by the Sam Houston president to send the band to Dallas.
Dr. James Gaertner of SHSU knows what's right. Thanks for the heads up DiamondM75.

Actually, I hear SamH plans to bring a lot more than that. We need to outnumber them and drown them out!

FYI, I have invited a couple Sam fans to tailgate with me. Good guys and I know they will enjoy the Boulevard.

Mustangunner wrote:Just like every other fan board in the country everyone complaines about the coaches and the players and what could have been done. Well stop complaining and just show up to the Sam Houston State game on Saturday and cheer on the players that have worked their tails off and who are discouraged and lacking motivation. The biggest motivation we can give them is showing up and supporting them and being loud at the game. I encourage all you "Football" fans to go to the Boulevard get drunk and roudy and show up and cheer on the players. Fans make a difference at the game just look at the past two games TECH AND NORTH TEX. Theres no reason to give up on the team after two games. All else fails you will have fun getting drunk on the boulevard and checking out the eye candy. Look for me at the PHI DELT Tent I will be with the blonde that keeps falling out of her dress.
Go MUSTANGS AND GET IT CRUNK
You misspelled "roudy". Also, some people are too stupid to function drunk and just end up cussing out alumni.
I'll be there, as always, yelling until my larynx bleeds.

Get ready, there will be plenty of orange in the stands. some of you people's comments are sad. I dont want to say it but they are getting down to the level of UH fans of last year. I really dont think ya'll have any room to be talking too much smack.

I doubt it..they do the old High School routine stuff.cause that is what most of their members are made up of..people who want to teach band and so why not practice the highest level they will impact.. High School Marching Band. But i think it will still be an interesting show. DCI vs. SMU Mustang Band.
*Note DCI = Drum Corp International which is how most high schools march and a lot of colleges march
I bleed Red and Blue, separtely

The Bearkat Marching Band can play anything. Just give 'em the sheet music.
