How does this kind of stuff happen?

Postby RGV Pony » Wed Sep 13, 2006 8:27 pm

I'm driving back to the office today after lunch. Stopped at a light, I see in front of me a small Nissan XE pickup, with a "UNT" sticker on one window, and a green, lighter green and white lone star flag sticker on the other. What do I have staring at the back of the Hummer, which btw is adorned with a Mustang Club sticker and SMU license plate? A red F150. The small Nissan turns, the F150 passes me, and low and behold a nice "TT" on the tailgate.

Ruined my afternoon.

So...you were in the Hummer, the Tech guy was in the F150, and the UNT guy was in the Nissan? There's probably a joke or something in there somewhere.

There are plenty of them living in The Woodlands / Spring area. Do many of them make it as far north as Dallas?

Man, do you want to trade crappy days? Yours would be so much easier to deal with.

This might make you feel better (not you LHF68). While driving in Little Rock today, stopped at a light, I came across one of our local "will work for food" guys. Before the bleeding hearts get too riled please know that most in our town know these guys to be part of a very organized "begging" ring that successful brings in a pretty nice non taxed income. This particular young man (20's) had 2 bottles of brand named water under his arm and a sign which read "hungry" "change". Was not even willing to work for it I guess. The part that I found interesting was he was wearing a Texas Longhorn hat. Of course that does not indicate a Longhorn tie, but even if I am really in need bad enough to have to beg on a street corner in LR, Arkansas, I am not going to wear a Texas hat to do it. One of those plastic pig things woould certainly bring in more money.
