Polite Mustangs

I don't know what might have been happening on the student side of the stadium, but on the press box side, there were more than one very polite Mustang fans. I'm the SMU grad, but MrMustang wore his Sam Houston Orange tonight, and several people, obviously Mustangs, spoke to him, saying "thanks for coming", "glad you're here", etc., not knowing that he is also a Mustang fan, but it did make me proud how others welcomed the opposition. I hope this was true all over the stadium.

He wore his orange polo (appropriate, don't you think?) not a SHSU T-shirt, and his SMU cap, he waved a SHSU flag to try and pump up his team, but never really yelled for SMU tonight . . . he'll be back to that next week, though, I promise. He is the greatest SMU fan that never went to school there.

That brings up an interesting question. Does anybody know if Sam Houston's school colors has any connection with the school's proximity to the prison? Did they get a bulk discount on orange material or something?

Yep, we behaved. I didn't hear a single "f*** you, SHSU" chant, like we endured in Lubbock.
