"EXECUTE"

Postby westexSMU » Sun Sep 17, 2006 1:52 am

The mustang offense herd they needed to "EXECUTE" and they did that in the first half about as good as a team could ! Willis looked great, the receivers looked great, and the offensive line did good. Division 1-AA opponent or not with continued execution like that, we should win alot more games this year. The only thing else I want to say is job well done Mustangs and continue to "EXECUTE" that deep ball etc. !

Emanuel Sanders catch was one of the most beautiful TD catches in SMU History. Columbus Givens needs to get on the field more than 20-30 plays. Yea he dropped a few last year but I'd rather see a kid get wide open and drop a few as a feshman than 4 WRs who can't make big plays. Givenns gets open-wide open and can make big plays. When we have a team full of ATHLETES like Sanders and Givens this offense will begin to make some big plays. Givens has to be on the field more-in the last 5 games he's gotten open and made some big plays. 5 yard catches and a cloud of dust doesn't win ballgames. BTW Givens had 3 catches for 106 yards. Get him on the field.

I agree, Stallion. Willis was the star, to be sure, but Givens and Sanders give the offense a big-play element that it has lacked for eons. Those are two seriously exciting players.

Did anyone get there early and watch Morstead warm up his kicking leg ? It is absolutely unreal as he nearly punts the ball out of the stadium.....

I agree, but he needs to hit the jugs machine more.

At UNT he dropped a for-sure 1st down 4 yard catch, we punt instead.
