...wouldn't it be a hoot if the ACC were stuck with only Virginia Tech? No new market, no conference champion, no national fan base, no basketball, no real non-revenue sports, and ACC members already grousing about their academic standards for athletes. Yes, football is a monster right now, but VT is not a traditonal power, and frankly (no pun intended) Beamer's health isn't so hot.
The ACC could be stuck with a real turkey- the academic schools unhappy, the big-time programs unhappy, and now the legitimacy of the BCS has been undermined by the commissioner himself. Somehow I smell poetic justice... Or it could just be Austin, if the wind is blowing right...

Despite the pro-SEC CNNSI and CBS, and Big East PR Firm (ESPN) articles suggesting Miami should reject, every hard news report has indicated that Miami will review the proposal today and accept the invitation either tonight, or tomorrow morning...

Personally, I think this is the case of Mike Tranghese getting his just desserts...
...it was only January when he went on ESPN and said in an interview on Outside the Lines that it would be over his dead body that the BCS schools ever share their money...
here is a decent article on the situation, although the headline is a bit misleading...
