Glad to read that he practiced yesterday. Anyone know how much?

Hope he's ready to go Saturday.

For the Arkansas Staters visiting PonyFans.com ... how would you rate your defensive ends, particularly on the right side (where Johnson plays)?

Thanks

After watching them against Okla. St., I would say they are like the defensive ends at OU, Texas, Ohio St. The only difference is Ark. St.'s ends are a little smaller, slower, and do not tackle as well. I hope this helps.

Well, I guess cynical and pointless is better than permanently negative.

They aren't huge or blazing fast and one starter is out for the year because of injuries.

Johnson was moving around OK, but didn't seem to be at full speed. Hopefully he will be by Saturday.

Good - I hope he's up and running this weekend.

Although when he came out last week, Chase Smith did a hell of a job in his place. I thought it was particularly impressive, considering he's just in his first year on the OL, and he's only a redshirt freshman.

I'd still like to see Johnson in there, but Smith did a nice job filling in.

Did anyone else see that play (early fourth quarter, I think), when a Sam DE tried to bull-rush Chase Smith, and Smith got both hands on his shoulder pads and knocked him on his back 5-10 yards back? It was like a long-distance pancake block. A thing of beauty.

First indication of what a nearly 500-pound bench press can do when the opportunity arises.

Go MUSTANGS!

I agree that Smith could be a good one before he's through. Until then, however, I want Johnson out there.

Anyone hear an update on his health?
