If we win on Homecoming, I'll go out on a limb and say that the Tulsa game will have above 15,000. Check Miami's attendance before Schnellenberger got there. They stunk and came close to disbanding the program.

I can see where we could legitimately hit 20k for homecoming.
If we're averaging 12-13k now, additional parents plus alumni, and we'll get a decent crowd from Houston.
Could happen... My wife and I usually come (2), but next weekend we'll be bringing two friends plus my parents (6). So that effectively triples the attendance from our household.
Also, hopefully a bunch of our wishy-washy season ticket holders will come out of the woodwork to see the Ponies become bowl eligible.

I'm bringing triple my usual number. My goal is to actually have a seating problem in my row. The guy next to me and I have four seats, and between the two of us I think 7 or 8 kids. Of course, not all of them always come, so there's plenty of room.

Snooze... another attendance thread.
Why do you guys think this will change in the near future? Students may get a little more excited but SMU alums are pathetic. Unless there is a SERIOUS effort to uncover the apathetic alums or somehow add a casual Dallas fan, it won't change.

Alums will not make a difference either. You need to reach the community. And you hurt my feelings calling me pathetic.

I am a alum, Blog, you...obviously none of us geeks on this board. I am talking about people who haven't been to a SMU game in a long time or haven't been since they graduated, which is a large majority.

Buck up, bud. I think you are pretty dedicated to the 'Stangs. I wish there were many more like you. Ford surely would be rockin' on gamedays. We would have to get another 'Vard, start setting up along the side streets to accommodate all the Pony fans. .
