Bowl Bids

Big Televen has accepted their bowls bids for this year. Wisconsin is in the Capital One Bowl, Penn State is in the Outback Bowl, Iowa is in the Alamo Bowl, Purdue is in the Champs Sports Bowl, and Minnesota is in the Insight Bowl. That leaves one extra bowl of their 7: the MPC Computers Bowl in Boise, Idaho unfilled by a Big Televen team.

(Navy has already accepted the Meineke Bowl, Hawaii the Hawaii Bowl, and BYU the Las Vegas Bowl)

No, they just are too pu$$ified to have a championship game. They can't even fill their all of their slots. :lol:

Too bad the old SWC isn't still around, that conference kicked the Big 10's @ss hands down.

We didn't fill our slots because we have TWO teams in the BCS leaving one slot available.

BTW, when your Tigers play Wisconsin in the Capital one, expect to see a lot of red. Just like last year when Wiscsonsin stuck it to Auburn -- BAD!!

Also,
I remember a Cotton Bowl when Ohio State played Texas A&M and the Buckeyes kicked the Aggies tails all over the field. And I remember a Freedom Bowl when Iowa smoked Texas. :wink:

The Big 10-plus-1 is not "we," dude. We get the idea that you're a fan of Minnesota and all things northern and freezing. Whatever -- lots of fans support more than one team.

But since you were in my class at SMU, let's say this together: "WE" are SMU, and SMU only.

Of course, in a down year for Big whatever, they have one team in the BCS, even if every team is sucking wind. That's the way the BCS works. Thus, it appears this year that the Big whatever is just exactly filling out their number of bowl spots, unlike C-USA which is now looking for unused bowl slots because we could have as many as 8 bowl eligible teams. And don't use the "they (or 'we' -- what the hell is up with that" have fewer teams" excuse. They are a BCS conference and thus all their teams can pay EBF State $600-750k to bend over and drop'em just to pad the stats and the W column.

My Dad went to minnesota? - that is embarrassing. What are you, 8 yrs old? If you went to SMU "we" is only allowed to be SMU. Anything else is the noise of a suckling infant.
