Re: J_WillReally? Sounds to me like he has some respect for Coach Bennett and SMU. TODD DODGE ON PETE FLEPS' DECISION TO PLAY FOR SMU: “I just think that, in general, what’s going on with Phil Bennett and his staff is they’re building that program the right way. They come in and recruit our kids, and they look at a player and they never ask who else is recruiting him. That’s something we appreciate a lot. So many schools come in and want to know who else is recruiting a player, like they’re going to let other schools determine who they offer a scholarship to. The SMU coaches are extremely professional, and they come in and analyze a guy themselves, and determine whether a guy can play for them or not. That’s something that’s rare, and it’s something we appreciate, because not every kid can play in every system. “Phil Bennett has got so many skins on the wall, especially with what he’s done on defense, that everyone knows what you’re going to get with Phil, and everything he’s associated with is going to be done the right way, and he’s really going to appreciate what Pete Brings. “I’ll be over there to watch both my boys play for SMU. You know, they signed Mitch Enright last year, and Pete and Mitch are good friends, so I think it’s great that they get to play together again. “I think SMU is big-time on the rise, and for being such a tradition-rich place, SMU is a real diamond that is just about to break out, and I know Phil Bennett is the guy who’s going to get that done. He’s a real hard-nosed coach, and that’s exactly the kind of player he’s getting in Pete Fleps.†Seems Southlake Carroll players also have some respect for what's being built here: MITCH ENRIGHT ON HIS DECISION TO PLAY FOR SMU: "I like the idea of being able to help turn around the program and do something that hasn't been done in 20 years or so: to help SMU go to a bowl game. The coaches are set -- they're not going anywhere. And the players are really excited about the program, where we're going next year. It will be exciting to prove to everyone what SMU can do. "Coach (Phil) Bennett is a business-type guy. He'll get on you, and that's important. Coach V (offensive line coach Ronnie Vinklarek) has been a lot of places, and it's clear he really cares about his guys. Caleb (Peveto) told me the practices are tough, but with good reason -- they're run that way to get you better. He said the team is really tight-knit, and that they really have fun. We're going to have a lot of fun as we start winning.
Can we have a daily incoherent rant sticky for BigDaddy? This is like arguing with my 8 year old. Oh wait, my 8 year old has learned that if he is going to argue a point he should have at least one fact straight. That way he has at least something to back him up.
Here are some definitions for the word argument: -a fact or assertion offered as evidence that something is true -a discussion in which reasons are advanced for and against some proposition or proposal -An argument is a set of statements, one of which is the conclusion, and the others are premises. The premises provide support for the conclusion. In other words, the conclusion asserted to be true on the basis of the premises An argument is not an incoherent rant supported by made up information that is easily determined not to be true.
