Here's to Rich and Swannie on the Ticket...

Postby that's great raplh » Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:23 pm

I listen to everygame (except the one time each year I fly in for a game) on theticket.com and I think Rich and Swannie are great. They have so much passion for the game and the ponies that you can feel it pouring through the speakers.

I was in back home in Ocala over Thanksgiving and I had to race back to the Lakehouse to get the internet hooked up to listen to the Rice game. We were watching the Florida Florida State game at my uncle's house and I listened to the second half on the radio on the drive over - it was like two dead guys in a booth...Rich and Swannie put them to shame.

thanks for a good year fellas!

They are absolutely the best, and the fact that we have them calling the Pony games just increases the margin over the competition. Nobody presents a game like Rich and Craig.

I have to agree. Some people think Swannie is a little too much but I like him. His UAB call is legendary.

They are great for SMU. It's refreshing to see people with a passion for the program. And they always get great pub for SMU with BaD Radio's "Homer Call of the Week." Seems like they are always mentioned on that spot.

Mick Huber's "OHH MY!" gets a little old. Can't wait to hear Swannie's excitement when SMU finally goes bowling.

The best was when swannie called a Jessie Henderson TD when he was crossing the 50 yrd line vs Tulane on that incredible return...i love our homers; it doesn't get any better then that.

I enjoy their enthusiasm, but I do think it goes overboard sometimes. This past weekend Craig was cheering so much on one of the scoring plays that I could barely hear what Rich was saying.

It is impossible for a homer's enthusiasm to go overboard. Craig Swann bleeds red and blue and does an awesome job. He's highly entertaining. The best in the business. I hope he and Rich stay together for a long, long time.

Rich has a great radio voice. Swan and Rich are great together, great chemistry. The chemistry is not so good on the b-ball broadcasts. Is the color guy's name Allen Stone? He has a great voice as well, but it feels like the two of them have a little tension. Stone seems to be a laid back guy and a great color guy, but Rich seems a little put off by him. Was Stone a play-by-play guy in the past?

Who says hummers aren't practical? Of course you might not be able to jump up and down and run around in one.
