Tech LB might sit out
Saturday's DMN said Tech LB John Saldi - a Butkus Award candidate - is still bothered by a muscle he tore lifting weights, and might miss some time at the beginning of the season. I read where Tech has some hotshot newcomer at LB, but they lost Lawrence Flugence, and now if Saldi can't play .... maybe a big day for the SMU running game?

John Saldi WILL be ready to go saturday,he may not start,but he will play.

DMN said he might have to sit out several weeks, that his recovery had moved along more slowly than trainers had hoped. Guess we'll find out next Saturday.
