Maybe it was just me. But I felt that something was off tonite. There was absolutely no electricity in the arena. Perhaps it starts with the announcer. Where was Dan Bell? That guy in his place was "not good dawg".
Anyone?

Moody was dead tonight. I couldn't stand it. I hope Bell is fine, I miss his announcing.
Sir, shooting-star, sir.
Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.
SMU needs to get a refund on the new sound system. IT SUCKS! Why did they cram it all behind the banners on the east end, haven't they ever heard of stereo. The announcer sounds like a distant echo.
You gotta admire Coach Doherty for his tenacity and consistent positive attitude in working with talent suited for a community college. It's frustrating to watch, but there are good times ahead. Be ready!
If anyone got to watch the game on CSTV you had to be uplifted. The announcers were very complimentary of SMU. More than once described SMU as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Praised Doherty continually and kept saying they were sure he had found a home in Dallas. They were very blunt in pointing out the problems we are experiencing but blamed in on postion personnel and not the kids themselves. They talked about the recruits coming in and how improved we should be next year. Specifically talked about Papa, Walker, and Harp and how they will help. There was talk about Houston and their program but they were very "leaning" toward SMU which I found enjoyable to hear and refreshing. Kind of wish it had been radio then the turnovers would not have seemed so bad as it was watching them occur in front of my eyes.
