Well then say you fired him because he sucked. If you are fine with making stuff up and lying about the reasons a guy was fired, that makes you a jack@ss in my book, general.

Yeah, General...Image (<humorously sarcastic>)...you're a jack@ss!

Oh please, jt...you goose the new guy, yet you say nothing when folks rip ad nauseum on a dead guy (Pye). You even chime in on occasion.

And while on the subject (as they say on Law & Order, Counselor, "you opened the door to it"), a large % of SMU's students and/or alums could be called jack@sses at one time or another. We get it honest, so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

Dude,
You misunderstood. I'm sure they had to come up with something to get rid of him. I'm saying he was not cut out to be a DI coach. They had to produce something with a measure of plausibility to get rid of him. I'm pointing out what I think they were thinking. Neither you and I know what the truth is whenever that will be revealed.

It's about as sorry as Billy G telling everyone in College Station that he loves it there, loves it there and Kentucky comes along, floats a ton of $$ and he's wearing a blue necktie in April.

College sports is a creepy business.

I can't argue with that, it was on Law and Order, for godsake. Just about everyone on this board for starters, except of course you and I.

50 black horseshoes on me.

Sorry, I guess going after the newbys really bothers me, especially because I promote the hell out of the site. And I really work to get opinionated people to stop just looking at the site, but to cowboy-up and post. Then Stallion proves he can't handle it and resorts to name-calling. And finally, jt decides to judge a person's character over an internet post.

Good grief, guys. This isn't real life. In real life, we have very little to no control over schedule nor the hiring/firing practices of the university.

Next.

I'm an @ss...ask my wife. But I tend to shape up periodically so she remains my wife.

Step back a little bit. Being a jack@ss on one topic hardly a character makes.

And for the record, my wife has learned a bit of tolerance as well, as you might have guessed.

You are exactly correct-and the actions of 98% of the SMU alumni who aren't members of the Mustang Club tell the story about SMU's commitment to the Football program

I would assume you have the statistical data to support that 98%? This is another post written with reckless disregard.

Frankly, I don't care what other alums are or are not doing. What are you doing? The only thing you're doing is sitting behind your desk pounding away your little thoughts and [deleted], moaning and complaining.

In other words, you, the keeper of the star, are doing N-O-T-H-I-N-G.

You can question SMU's commitment. I have as well, but I believe now they have something going. I question why you even care and have subjected us to more than 8,400 posts (do you have a life outside this board?) if you believe everything they are doing is not to your satisfaction.

Why are you here?

Once again another topic has almost totally degenerated into finger pointing, name calling, and nah nah nah nah boo boo. Yay for you!

I've seen membership lists within the last two years which said the Mustang Club had 1,500 Members-some of which are alumni and some who aren't.
