We get the Razorbacks in Dallas.

They are coming to play Baylor. This may have been discussed already, but this really makes me mad. Why do we not get them to play us. Yes, perhaps we are not ready to compete straight up with them right now, but the BB team is showing signs of improvement, at least on paper. We did play a good competitive game with Memphis. Why do we have to have two teams from outside our area come to Dallas and play. We need to be the team playing in these games.

My Fourth was good, how about yours. Had a seat saved for Jtstang for burgers, and was willing to give him a cheer, but he did not make it.

Also, changing the subject in reference to our kid that signed with the soccer team, is there a Fake Salt Lake?

I'm guessing you're referring to Real Salt Lake... 'Real' is actually Spanish for 'Royal', which still makes it a pretty dumb name considerring A) we have no royalty in the US and B) if we did they would stay far, far away from Utah.

arkansas is severely overrated in almost every sport. if we almost beat memphis at home last year, i'd be comfortable betting on us beating arkansas in moody

RATIONALE: Arkansas is probably the designated home team and I guarantee its not a 50-50% split.

I will buy that. I still do not like it, but I will buy that. The good thing about BB is that Dallas is a hot spot for good kids, and schools, like Arkansas for instance, can only sign so many. If Doherty can get us visible and upward, there should be enough to go around.

Then maybe SMU and Memphis should play in Little Rock and pee in the Razorbacks pool.

They just finished a year in the SEC where they played in the Championship games in Football, Basketball, and Baseball in a conference that many think may rank higher than Conference USA. I would say they have accomplished more than your betting record. I have no love for them but please realize they are a little more than an also ran to SMU at this time.

i absolutely resent the SEC in every shape and form. i hate hearing about the SEC and i definitely don't like discussing it, I'd figure this be the thread where I vent my frustration over someone trying to hype up an SEC team. i know c-usa is not on the same level too. it's nice and all that arkansas went to all these championships and lost em all! i can bet that only an idiot would say that a college athletics program has accomplished more than my betting record, you're a smart cookie!

The rumor of several different games being played in Dallas as a neutral site (OSU-TT FB, BU-ND FB, BU-Ark FB) is further evidence that SMU should be in the Big 12, not Baylor. TU-OU continue to play here and TT has had several BB games played at AAC. No one of sound mind would want to spend a weekend in Waco. Guess where they stay, Dallas, then they drive round trip to Waco.

I will gurantee you that nearly everyone of the fans of Baylor's opponents that stay overnight, or over the weekend, will stay in Dallas and travel to Waco. A weekend in Dallas is pretty appealing to a lot of people. In addition, the teams get to perform in a recruing hot bed.

Pye really blew it when he de-emphasized athletics while other schools were gearing up to get to BCS status and the $ that brings to the coffers.
