WHAT THE F! How can that kid be happy?! How could a parent let that kid hold a poster with that image of a little red horse and a black chalk arrow pointing up! The world is ending....WHAT WAS THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT THINKING....WAH WAH WAH! Whoa is me.

I like it and think it can work (especially, I dunno, if you wait for the campaign to actually start before bashing it). When word gets out that that is what that little image means, there is no way someone can not look at that image and say it in their mind.

p.s. cute kid, glad he is having fun!

Does anyone know who to call to get one of those posters? Also, where is J-Will on the poster?

It just occurred to me that this new SMU campaign may be some thing like the original Infinity commercials. How long did they run those commercials before you even knew it was a car they were selling? The whole idea was to get people's curiosity up. If you start plastering these "pony with an up arrow" signs all over the place at some point people will start wondering what it is and means...and then you expand the message to explain it. First you get their attention...and then you make the pitch. Just a thought.

What's that kid's 40 time? We might want to offer him quick to shore up the WR corps.

They only put the seniors on the poster.

Go to the Football Office on the 2nd floor in the Paul Lloyd Athletic Center at Ford Stadium to get one...or several!

Would love to, but live in Orlando and don't make it to the Hilltop as much as I'd like. I spoke to someone in the marketing department and they're sending several posters my way.

I need one! I need one!

Oh, and hey, MM65... you asked a long, long time ago to see my films, and I never put any in the mail... because I am a bad person.

But have no fear my website will be back up* this week!!!

And next week, actual movies will be on it! How 'bout them apples!

Will post link as soon as the site is up.

* - It's quite lame to say "back up" as in I have had my website up in five years.... "back up" implies it was merely down.... rather than on extended sabbatical.

I thought ThadFilms would be in mourning today with the death of legendary filmmaker Ingmar Bergman.

Yes... that too... I got a little excited seeing the little kid with the poster.

I think I am just going to sit out in a field starring sternly and a beautiful young blond woman.... and just see how long we can go without talking. Then I have a chess date with a man in black robes. You know, it's all part of the mourning show.

I did get a chance to meet the legend...years back, when he received the Meadows Award. Am I recalling incorrectly, or didn't he receive the inaugural Meadows Award?

Yup... I was right... he was the first.... though now I don't believ I met him... the first award was in 1981 -

http://www.smu.edu/newsinfo/releases/m0107.html

I would have been three/almost three. Though I remember meeting plenty of the other winners over the years, up until checking the past winners .... I don't know that I realized it was in 1981.

Though I always remember my father saying, oh, you remember when he came to SMU, right? You remember?

So needless to say, i guess I have some sort of false memory.... sure, Dad, I remember.
