Considering the injury situation, could anyone tell who are the starters at the LB and DB positions?

In a word, no.

However, we do know the following:

Wilton McCray starts at WLB.

Tony Hawkins starts at SLB, unless he takes over as the starter in the middle. If he kicks inside, then the outside spot will be either Will Bonilla or Taylor Bon, I think. If he stays outside, then the MLB will be Damon Hurst or Ryan Moczygemba.

In the secondary, Bryce Hudman is a lock at strong safety, and it looks like Jonathan Lindley and Bryan McCann are the starting CBs, although we're going to face so many teams that run 3-WR sets so much that we might as well list three starting CBs, which means Brandon Jones. Before his year off, a lot of people I talked to thought Jones was the best coverage guy on the team, so he's a very valuable third CB. Tim Crosby, I guess, would be the first sub. The other safety spot, after the injury to Rock Dennis, is a total crapshoot. David Haynes started last night, didn't he? Tyler Jones has gotten very little pub but supposedly is a fantastic athlete, and De'Von Bailey looks (at least physically) like Sean Taylor. I would have to think that once he's comfortable at that spot, he would take over.

But that's just my guess.

I am and I am not surprised we haven't seen anything on this yet. I would hope that the committee would not allow this to drag into the season.

Obviously, the program has to go through these workouts treating Serge like a redshirt. But an answer -- either way -- is needed soon.

Well thqt amswers my question from the scrimage thread as to why Serge played very little last night. Mainly took up space on the defensive team sideline, looking very frustrated.
