I do not think I know Arkst fan. I am glad he has found a home in my city. I kind of relate to ASU since they are treated in Arkansas much the same as SMU is in Texas. They are the forgotten child who can not get any deserved attention. Sir Frank Broyles refuses to recognize that they exist. It will be interesting to see as a few years go by if Jeff Long, the new UA AD is willing to arrange some head to head games against ASU. I think it wold be great but as long as Broyles is alive it will not happen. It may even be part of his will that it never occur.

Now I agree that SMU needs to step up its program if it wants attention but ASU has had some decent teams over the past 30 years and some star players but they kind of become invisible when the forgo UA.

Agree with mrydel. In this state, if ASU won the National championship over USC in the BSC, the best ASU could hope for is a short article on page 9 of an 8-page sports section. However, if a beloved Razorback player has a date with Renee Rottencrotch, one can expect front-page coverage with a half page of fan comments on page 2 speculating how this will improve his performance on Saturday.

It isn't just ASU, all other university sports programs are ignored in this state.

It decided to attack the University of Arkansas/Alabama game instead. BCS always gets the attention.
