Hell, if he won the 1990 Chilton County Auburn Club "Unsung Hero" Award he's GOTTA be good enough for SMU.

This all seems so stupid. Shouldn't we wait to start this thread till there's a job to fill?
Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!

What about Glen Mason? He did very well at Kansas and left for Minnesota and took them to about 5 bowls in a row, but they often lost in those Music City Bowls. He's a big money guy, as I believe he pulled down about $1.7MM at the U last year.

don't know but he's been there for 17 years. Neither he nor Bower would go anywhere but where they are.
Larry Blakeney.

Please no Geriatrics as HC. I believe Blakeney is 60+.

IMHO, NCAA FB is a young man's game & these kids will respond to guys who are not their Gr Father's age.

We need a recruiter first and foremost. The record is primarily the result of a talent disparity, particularly on defense.

I really hate to speculate while we have a coach on board, but I guess I will play the game too. If we are going to commit the resources to get what we need for a coach, a recruiter, and a winner, I say throw every thing we can scrape together and bring in the team of Graham and Malzahn. I would imagine it would be unlikely we could do it, but he has shown a tendency to leave for money. I have to believe that if the money were right, Dallas vs. Tulsa would be a no brainer. There would have to be a full committment to him however. If we offered though, after this past weekend, I would imagine they would open up new oil wells in Tulsa to keep them.

That sleaze would move to Mars for another nickel.

I agree but don't think he'd take it. If he has success at Alabama, he'll get an offer from a weaker D1 school with potential like Mississsippi.

Glen Mason's my vote. I don't trust Neuheusel...

Just thinking out load!!!

I really don't understand all I know about our system as is in place now! Freshmen have been reshirted for four or more years now...so why do we have to use freshmen in the defensive line if we have redshirted freshmen ready to step in as is the plan? Something doesn't add up. Redshirts scrimmage against the first team week after week and should be ready to play after one year of such training. This tells me that our recruiting or training doesn't add up! We can see that our cupboard is not totally bare. I believe Bennett wants to win. We must need a super salesman like Doherty in football too. Maybe we shouldn't limit it to 300 miles...kids from across the nation might need an outstanding Business Degree etc. Maybe since we have spent more moneys on the program, we should expand our recruiting to other parts of the country. Seems like we should know before a game whether armbands with plays on them or coaches in the box or on field should be best...Seems to me that Martin should be a north-south runner not running around the end...Durn it is hard to be critical of a football team you like so much...Go Mustangs!!!

Chip Kelly is exactly what we dont want. Belotti is more involved with the offense and play calling.

Nobody in the Pac-10 plays defense? Have you seen how pathetic the Big 12 has been lately?
