and please explain why Bailey is burning his redshirt on special teams. These are the types of recurring issues that really concern me about Bennett's use of freshman. If a freshmen is good enough to contribute on offense or defense-fine-but once the decision has been made the coaches must make a commitment to get him quality playing time.
Don't forget that Bell also is playing a ton on special teams instead of being redshirted. Realistically, Bailey and Bell should be starting at this point.
Hurst is our best middle LB. That is a poor decision to not play him.
what makes you think hurst is our best middle linebacker? he's never been more than a backup anything before carrington left and other injuries occured. we may not have a true middle guy, but the first three games didn't display one, including hurst when he played.
I've been asking about Bell and Bailey since the UNT game, I can't see how either can be any worse than the DB's we've been sending out on the field so far but for whatever reason Bennett is wasting this year playing them only on special teams. Bell especially is hungry, on special teams he's always around the ball and you can tell he just wants to play.
Damon Hurst didn't play last night? I didn't even see him at the game.
Adarius Medford hasn't played since the Tech game. K J Ellis ditto. Chase Smith hasn't played this year.....rumor is he's got bad knee's. Youri Yenga didn't play last night.....mabey Patrick Fleming burned a redshirt last night. Aldrick Robinson is wasting a redshirt thus far. I'm pretty sure I saw KJ coming off of the field at TCU and get a little pep talk from coach. Chase Smith has a really bad left shoulder - Bennett said Chase just 'mopes around' during practice' - he's getting an MRI with dye done soon. Bad knees, hell all the line guys have bad knees.
