Why, because the folks at rivals didn't think of it? Get over it.
It was a college prank, nobody got hurt, and it got on TV. Congratulations to whoever did it.

it was better than them coming to our campus early friday morning and dying the fountain purple only to have it drained and up and running again in an hour. the only people who saw it were those who actually have 8am classes on fridays and attend

I agree...this time it lacked originality. That's what made it great the first time. What is the obsession with the grass at TCU?

Colored water in a fountain. That's a new one. Shown up only by soaping cars. Maybe you guys need to school SMU on originality. Come on Reed.

Women's golf team.
I support intercollegiate mischief. Lord knows we complain about student apathy It might have been criminal, but it wasn't apathetic.

As the proud owner of a little criminal trespassing "misunderstanding" my senior year at Lake Highlands High School, I fully support this act of field enhancement at TCU.

Genius
A prank is a prank is a prank
Unless someone's life is ruined by it or someone/thing is seriously hurt.
Originality is what marks a timeless prank (the rye seed dropping)
This one may not have been original, but in a day and age when most people look down on college pranks as "inconsiderate" or "politically incorrect," I have to tip my hat to the folks who did this.

How can you say such a thing? Don't you know things like college pranks, underage drinking, and hazing are not necessary to get an education, are horrible blights on society, and will lead to the downfall of western civilization? All must be punished by immediate expulsion from school, mandatory jail time, and possibly even death by lethal injection!

If someone was harmed by the agricultural procedure, and the misinterpretation of the rules of agriculture on the part of those involved, I'm sure they - and Bill Belichick - would apologize.

One thing I've learned in the last few months is that while having a job gives you all sorts of independence, you will never have chances to do stupid [deleted], goof around, or act like a complete [deleted] nearly as often as you did in college
I'd say about 1/20 of the amount of times, max
