I know this doesn't pertain to SMU, but for anyone who has seen an NFL game on CBS this year, are you baffled as to why anyone thought this guy was a good hire? What the F was CBS thinking? This guy cannot speak at all! It drives me nuts when he talks! He is impossible to understand and really is Mr. Ed. He's like the NFL equivalent of Lou Holtz on ESPN. Why do people hire them? I hate it when former players/coaches become analysts on TV.
Does this bother/annoy anyone else? or is just me?

I like the Aikman-Buck combo, but most other former player/coache analysts are just annoying and [deleted]. Is there nothing else for these guys to do once they retire? Open a restaurant, or a car dealership. Start a business, work with the team, but if you sound like Shannon Sharpe, for the love of God don't hire people like Shannon Sharpe! Make sure the guy can speak first!
The worst part about the NFL on CBS is when they do halftime or post game highlights and the idiot guys are trying to do a play by play of the highlights. They sound like they're reading straight from the teleprompt. No flow to their presentation of the game. Just wait til next Sunday and watch. You'll see. It's worse with Shannon Sharpe. He just mumbles a bunch of crap.
Oh and anyone keep seeing the "Lou Holtz for Prethident" signs on College Gameday? Genius.

I always thought the two signs at college game day were great:
"Lee Corso has a baby arm."
"Lee Corso is a pen*s."

Holtz reminds me of the alcoholic uncle who shows up uninvited to reunions, weddings, funerals, etc. and constantly slurs his words, lets his dentures slip and makes absolutely no sense while talking about every subject imagineable.
